Atlas Shrugged

Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand The argument about the necessity of competition and the potential inefficiency of a planned economy & crony capitalism is ok (though it's more or less common sense which has been repeated by economists since long long ago), but in my opinion how the author get from that piece of common sense to her Objectivism philosophy is unjustified - the story can easily be read as a simple criticism against absolute monopoly and social inequality, instead of the message Ms. Rand intended to deliver. As literature I've read worse novels, but its repetitive & overly simplistic plot & unlikable Stus do get a bit annoying. I do like her anti-authoritarianism though.
