I really like the author's minimalist and achingly beautiful, fairytale-like prose, the wonderful depiction of everyday life and happiness & sorrow as well as the unflinching idealism in an often unjust world, and the theme of facing harsh reality with love, acceptance and dream. Definitely one of my favorite YA/ urban fantasy I've ever read & make me almost fall in love with her "Shangri LA".
P.S. according to FLB's blog she is currently facing financial difficulties due to recession & her health issue, which is very unfortunate for such a wonderful writer. If you're a fan you can help from here: http://savethefaeriecottage.blogspot.com/
